GIRLS BASKETBALL Mercersburg 55, No. 7 Martinsburg 48 MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Kelsey Roman scored a team-high 20 points for Mercersburg Academy as the Blue Storm knocked off Martinsburg. Lauren Dobish scored 16 points and Alice Walton added 12 points and seven rebounds for Mercersburg. Iesha Robinson had 24 points, 11 rebounds and five steals, while LaToya Bucker scored 12 points and Rachel Hull added 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs. BOYS BASKETBALL No. 6 Greencastle 67, Big Spring 54 GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Dameatric Scott had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead Greencastle over Big Spring.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012 BOYS BASKETBALL SMITHSBURG - Boonsboro made 28 of 43 free throws compared to Smithsburg's 9-for-19 effort, and that was the difference in the MVAL Antietam opener for both teams Tuesday as the Warriors topped the Leopards 55-48. Casey Strunk had 16 points, five rebounds and four steals, Dylan Coulter had 12 points and Scott Bennett added 11 for the Warriors (2-1, 1-0). Ryan Walsh grabbed six rebounds. Coby King had 12 points and six rebounds, and Kevin Gibson added 11 points for the Leopards (1-2, 0-1)
