Three juveniles were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with a burglary at a vacant house in the 16000 block of Virginia Avenue, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. The teenagers were in the house and were involved in illegal drug activity, police said. The teenagers were arrested at about 10:30 a.m. after they fled the house and were apprehended near Virginia Avenue and Interstate 81, police said. The teenagers were expected to be charged with fourth degree burglary and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, police said.

Two men were charged in connection with a burglary Monday morning on Cumberland Street, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Ronald Elwood Maners, 20, 41 S. Martin St., Clear Spring, and Brandon James Maners, 18, 907 Oak St., Hagerstown, were each charged with fourth-degree burglary and trespassing, according to a news release. Brandon Maners is also facing a theft charge, police said. The two men were charged after police responded to 151 Cumberland St., for a burglary at 11:48 a.m., the release said.

A Hagerstowm man and a juvenile have been charged with trying to break in to a shed early Friday in the 13800 block of North Valley Drive, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said. Neeko Ricardo Young-Austin, 20, of 12939 Little Elliott Drive Apt. 2, was charged with two counts each of second-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary, according to a sheriff's office news release. He also was charged with one count each of theft and malicious destruction of property. Deputies said they were called at 1:39 a.m. Friday for a report of two males with flashlights trying to enter a shed.

A 35-year-old man is accused of attacking a sleeping man early Monday after the victim's residence was broken into through a basement window, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records. Daniel Barry Shipley was arraigned Monday by Magistrate Sandra L. Miller on charges of burglary, battery, carrying a deadly weapon and obstructing an officer, according to court documents. Shipley had no fixed address, according to court documents. Martinsburg Police Department Patrol Officer E.C. Neely responded to a reported fight in progress in the 100 block of Gussie Avenue in Martinsburg at 2:12 a.m. and found that the victim's face was bloodied, according to court documents.

A Bunker Hill, W.Va., man convicted in September of first-degree robbery in a November 2011 home invasion was sentenced Thursday in Berkeley County Circuit Court to 44 years in state prison, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Gregory K. Jones said. Tyler Shane Munson also was sentenced by Judge John Yoder to one to 15 years for burglary, one to five years for criminal conspiracy and two to 10 years for assault in the commission of a felony, Jones said. The sentences are to be served consecutively, he said.

Burglary, thefts reported in Washington County The Washington County Sheriff's Office reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday: A burglary was reported in the 11200 block of Scarlet Oak Drive. A theft was reported in the 11500 block of Englewood Road. A theft was reported in the 21600 block of Old Trolley Lane. A theft was reported in the 400 block of Premium Outlets Boulevard. A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 10300 block of Auto Place.

Two Hagerstown residents were charged with burglary and other counts in connection with a breakin at a home in Funkstown on Sunday night, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said. Paul Tierney, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with one count each of first-degree burglary, second- degree assault and two counts of malicious destruction of property, according to sheriff's office spokeswoman Carly Hose. Felicia Rudisill, 20, of 220 Alexander St., was charged with one count each of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.

Two Hagerstown men have been charged in connection with the theft of copper wire from trucks of a utility company which had come to Washington County to help the region deal with the after effects of Hurricane Sandy last month, according to a Washington County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman. Timothy Blake Miller, 21, of 17548 Gay St., and Richard Dalton Vanes, 20, of 17328 Diane Drive, are each charged with rogue and vagabond, theft between $1,000 and $10,000, burglary tools, conspiracy to commit rogue and vagabond and conspiracy to commit theft, according to a news release from Carly Hose, public information officer for the sheriff's office.
