FREDERICK, Md. - Police this morning were investigating a Sunday night robbery at the Bob Evans Restaurant, 1505 Garrett Drive, the Frederick Police Department said. The manager was closing the restaurant for the night when two masked men, at least one of whom was armed with what she thought was a handgun, forced her to give them money from the restaurant's office, police said. Anyone with information can call police at 1-301-600-2100.

Three crimes - a home invasion, an attempted armed robbery and an armed robbery - all reported Wednesday night in the city, are not related, Hagerstown Police Department Sgt. Paul Kifer said. Kifer said that by this morning police had not made any arrests in the 6:11 p.m. reported home invasion in the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue, the 7:33 p.m. reported attempted robbery of Dollar General or the 7:52 p.m. reported robbery of Bob Evans Restaurant. At 6:11 p.m., two white males holding guns demanded medication from a resident in the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue, police said.

Hebb-Waybright Gray and Jolene Hebb of Clear Spring announce the engagement of their daughter, Madison Faith Hebb to Jason Daniel Waybright, son of Donnie Waybright of Hagerstown, and Colleen Waybright of New Market. Ms. Hebb is a 2008 graduate of Washington County Technical High School. She attends Allegany College of Maryland, pursuing a degree in respiratory therapy. She is employed as a server at Bob Evans Restaurant. Mr. Waybright is a 2007 graduate of Washington County Technical High School.

No one was hurt in two armed robberies within minutes of each other in the southern part of the city Wednesday, the Hagerstown Police Department said. The suspects in both incidents remained at large late Wednesday, police said. At 7:33 p.m., a black male demanded money from a clerk at Dollar General Store at 761 E. Wilson Blvd. Police said the male was in the store shopping and brought several items to the checkout counter, then indicated to the clerk that he had a weapon in his pocket.
