St. John's Episcopal Church will hold its annual vacation Bible school from July 15 to 19 in the church education building. The theme is “Sky - All Things Are Possible With God!” VBS will begin with supper at 5:30 p.m., followed by classes from 6 to 8 p.m. The school will include a Biblical storyteller, an imagination station, games and crafts. Classes are targeted for those ages 3 to adult. The church is at 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown. For more information, call 301-733-2560.

Sharpsburg Bible Church will hold its vacation Bible school starting Monday. Classes will be held through Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The theme is “Amazing Aviation Wonders.” Classes are open for those ages 3 through adult. Games, classes, crafts and snacks will be offered. This year at Bible school at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, the children raised money to support two mission causes. Half of the children's offering went to help the relief efforts in Haiti. The other half went to give medical aid to Kehancha, Kenya. The children heard firsthand from Jenna Shenk, who has given medical help to both of these countries during the past year. Jenna shared with the children nightly the great need these people have. The children at Bible school responded to the need and gave generously each night.

A community vacation Bible school will be held at St. John's UCC from June 11 to 15.  The theme is “SonRise - National Park.” There will be crafts, Bible study, snacks, games and learning about nature. It is for those ages 3 years old through eighth grade. Bible school runs from 9 to 11:45 a.m.  There is no cost, and the community is welcome. For more information, call 301-842-2500.  Car wash planned in Clear Spring June 9 Clear Spring High School Future Business Leaders of America will host a car wash at Weller's Service Center next to McDonald's in Clear Spring on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting.  All proceeds will help offset expenses for four students going to San Antonio at the end of June for the national FBLA leadership conference.  Hoover scholarship fundraiser is Tuesday Hempen Hill, in Fountainhead Plaza, will hold a Quinn Alec Hoover Legacy Scholarship fundraiser Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.  The restaurant will donate 15 percent of the bill to the scholarship fund.  Did you know?

WILLIAMSPORT - St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 10813 Donelson Drive, will host a Vacation Bible School June 11 to 15 from 6:15 to 8 p.m. featuring classes for all ages. Children's classes will include nightly Bible lessons, crafts, music and snacks. Children will earn tokens and have the opportunity to shop at the canteen. The community is invited to St. John's Lutheran Church this week for vacation Bible school.  At “Athens: Paul's Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth,” families will step back into time to ancient Greece and the story of Paul's second missionary journey. Children and adults will participate in a Bible-times marketplace, sing songs, play games and visit with Paul daily.  The school begins Monday night at the church, at 141 S. Potomac St. in downtown Hagerstown, and will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night.

Shiloh will begin the celebration with a kickoff party June 9 at 4 p.m. with registration and a free dinner. Vacation Bible school will be each evening starting with a free dinner from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The program will include crafts, Bible stories, songs, snacks and door prizes.
