The band's annual July Fourth concert at the Peter Buys Band Shell in City Park Sunday night featured patriotic songs, including military marches, to get everyone in the holiday mood. Some of the people in attendance said the show was like living in the 1950s. "It's like being in a movie setting," said one woman in attendance.

There are a few things you can usually count on at the Williamsport Community Band's annual Christmas concert. The band will perform “The Night Before Christmas” while the poem is read to children, Santa will drop by and hand out toys donated through the Marine Corps League's Toys for Tots program and Nelson Deal will serve as announcer for the program. Deal, 81, said he's missed a few of the band's concerts due to his health and, one day, there will be a younger announcer, but he enjoys the role.

It will be an afternoon of family entertainment when the Hagerstown Municipal Band presents its annual Christmas show at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at The Capitol Theatre in downtown Chambersburg, Pa. This is the third year the band has presented a holiday program at the historic theatre, said director Lynn Lerew.
