Daniel Nicolosi of Boonsboro graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Towson University in May. Nicolosi is a 2008 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He is the son of A.J. and Nancy Nicolosi. His sister, Stephanie Young, and brothers Bryan, Marc and Brandon also are Boonsboro High graduates. In addition to graduating, Nicolosi was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He reported to Armor Basic Officers Leadership Course at Fort Benning, Ga., and will graduate this fall.

The following area students graduated from Drexel University this year at the 125th commencement: Stephanie Bosenbark of Chambersburg, Pa., graduated from the College of Nursing and Health Professions with a Master of Science in nursing. Chloe Brulia of Brunswick, Md., graduated from the Antionette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design with a Bachelor of Science. Jolene Eid of Martinsburg, W.Va., graduated from the College of Nursing and Health Professions with a Master of Science in nursing.

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The following area students were named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Randolph College: Emma Bartholomew of Hagerstown is a member of the Class of 2014. The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown recognized 19 scholarship recipients during an awards reception in the USMH lobby on July 16. Along with 10 USMH scholarships, nine awards will be given from the Magnolia Foundation Scholarship Fund. The fund includes two named awards each from the Board of County Commissioners and Citicorp Inc. Also, an award from the city of Hagerstown and a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) scholarship will be given. Students being awarded the USMH scholarships will receive $2,500 each, and recipients of the Magnolia Fund scholarships will each receive $1,920.

Emily Marie Hornbaker of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School, was among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May. Hornbaker, who received departmental honors in music, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in K-12 music education, with an emphasis in clarinet. She has been actively involved in FSU's Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Ensemble, Marching Bobcats and University Chorale.
