MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Kearneysville, W.Va., man who was charged in the abduction of a 7-year-old girl this week was arraigned Friday on a felony charge of nighttime burglary, entering without breaking, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records. Leonard Austin Ellinger's bond was increased from $700,000 to $750,000 after his arraignment, officials said. Ellinger, 32, already is facing a charge of abduction, which carries a prison sentence of between three and 10 years.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. --Â A Virginia man ran to the Martinsburg police station Sunday morning after being stabbed at an apartment just a few blocks away. James N. Jordan, 32, of Clear Brook, Va., was stabbed in his upper right shoulder about 5 a.m., according to a police press release. Jordan told police he was stabbed at 302 W. Race St. in Martinsburg. Police charged Charles Redman, 40, of no fixed address, with malicious wounding in connection with Jordan's stabbing, police said.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A man charged with surreptitiously photographing at least one co-worker in the restroom of the business where they worked has waived his mandatory arraignment in Franklin County Court and was listed for the March trial term. Andrew Edward Gahagan, 33, formerly of Chambersburg, is charged with four misdemeanor counts of second-degree invasion of privacy. His attorney, Eric J. Weisbrod, said his client, who has since moved out of the area, waived his Wednesday arraignment by mail.

McClurg has been forced to fend off a few challenges in his own life in his struggle to overcome the tragedy. About a month after Brian Allen McClurg was killed on Aug. 9, 2006, his son's birthday, McClurg said he was diagnosed with cancer. On New Year's Eve, he had a stroke and lost his ability to speak for a while, but now feels fully recovered. "There's just been so much going on," said McClurg, who still hopes to establish a scholarship in memory of his son and his love for music.

Sharon Lee Selser, 45, whose address in court records is listed as 245 N. Main St., Mercersburg, had her case sent up to the county's Court of Common Pleas, District Justice Shirley Shatzer said.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. --Â An Inwood, W.Va., man was arraigned over the weekend on a felony count of manufacturing marijuana at his home, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records. Police on April 15 seized 11 plants, including four that were about 2 feet tall, from Samuel David Sine of 124 Craftsman Lane, according to a complaint filed by Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Lt. Gary Harmison. The other seven plants were growing in Styrofoam cups and were "just starting," according to Harmison's complaint.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Clear Spring man was arraigned Friday after allegedly threatening to deliver a bomb to the West Virginia Air National Guard's 167th Airlift Wing base, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records. Jeffrey L. Myers, 48, of 12427 Big Pool Road, was charged with threatening to commit a terrorist act, according to court records. In a brief interview, Magistrate Jo Ann Overington said Friday that Myers told her during his arraignment that he was fired from his job at UPS after the alleged incident, which occurred June 21. According to a complaint by Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Deputy P.S. Layne, Myers got angry at airlift wing staff who told him they needed to search the UPS truck he was operating.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The founder of West Virginia Society of Ghost Hunters was arraigned Saturday on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance after a woman told police the accused had counseled and given her medication, Berkeley County Magistrate Court records show. Susan R. Crites, 55, of 208 Ruffed Grouse Lane, Hedgesville, W.Va., was charged with delivery of Percocet by Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Lt. Gary Harmison. A $20,000 bond was set for her case in an arraignment hearing by Magistrate Sandra L. Miller.
