Scott and Julie Bare of Sharpsburg recently held a party for their daughter, Ellie Bare, in celebration of her 12th birthday. At Ellie's request, all of her friends who attended her party brought gifts to donate to Friends Fur Life Rescue in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The rescue facility is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter. Thanks to Ellie and her friends, many bags of dog/cat food, treats, beds and toys were collected. Ellie is pictured with the donations and with her dog, Jeb.
