SEPT. 6, 1924-APRIL 19, 2009 HANCOCK, Md. - Helen A. Pittman, age 84, formerly of Slabtown Road, and a resident of Berkeley Springs Rehab and Nursing, died Sunday at the facility. Born Sept. 6, 1924, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Roy Calvin and Bridgett A. Weller Moats, and the widow of Herbert Pittman, who died in 1976. She was a homemaker, member of the AARP and a member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren. She is survived by five sisters, Veriee M. Weller, Etta Mae Younker and Rosalie Ward, all of Hancock, Mary J. Stuckey of Berkeley Springs and Betty J. Hixon of Warfordsburg, Pa.; four brothers, Leroy E. Moats, Herman B. Moats, Ray C. Moats and Paul J. Moats Sr., all of Hancock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

DEC. 16, 1945-APRIL 18, 2009 Ronald McKinley Lee Norris Sr., 63, of 1233 Salem Ave., Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Ronald was born Dec. 16, 1945, in Hagerstown, the son of the late Claude McKinley Jr. and Katherine Lorraine McClay Norris. Ronald was employed by Boston Market in Hagerstown. He attended Miller's Tabernacle in Hagerstown. Ronald was a member of AARP and the First Hagerstown Hose Co. 1 Hagerstown Fire Department.

DEC. 12, 1910-MARCH 25, 2009 Edna Anna Dorazio, 98, of Hagerstown, and formerly of Williamsport, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Williamsport Nursing Home. Born Dec. 12, 1910, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Robert Henry and Martha Kelly Naile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Dorazio, in 1960. She was employed as a seamstress by Dorbee's Dress Factory in Hagerstown. She was a Presbyterian. She was a member of Red Feather Degree of Pocahontas Council 59 of Williamsport and AARP.

The Berkeley County, W.Va., chapter of AARP installed new officers at its meeting earlier this month. The officers are Ricardo Stith, president; Annie Otto, vice president; Sandra Stith, secretary; and Karen Kelly, treasurer. The chapter, which was formed a year ago, meets at 10:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Berkeley Senior Center. Speakers have presented programs about Hospice of the Panhandle, AARP Safe Driving, OWLS (Older, Wiser, Living Stronger), Charles Town Races & Slots and Alzheimer's Association.

JAN. 11, 1935-FEB. 18, 2009 Harold Winger, 74, of 113 Southern Oak Drive in Hagerstown, Md., died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Washington County Hospital. Born Jan. 11, 1935, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Albert and Helen Hussong Winger. He was employed by the Washington County Board of Education. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a member of AARP and Eagles Inc. of Waynesboro. He is survived by his wife, Isabel (Dinnie) McKee Winger; one daughter, Krista Rohrer of Hagerstown; one son, Curt Winger and wife, Lisa, of Hagerstown; one brother, Frank Winger and wife, Betsy, of Leesburg, Va.; sister-in-law, Cheryl Winger of Hagerstown; eight grandchildren, Tara and Jeremy Holler, C.J. and Sarah Winger, Chad Winger, Rebecca and Mike Shaw, and Alison Rohrer; two stepgrandchildren, Dane Strickland and Kenzie Strickland; and four great-grandchildren, Jake Holler, Duncan Winger, Zachary Shaw and Clara Shaw.

Julian O. Wagaman, 93 OCT. 19, 1915-JAN. 29, 2009 FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. -- Julian O. Wagaman, 93, of 4808 Spruce Road, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at his home. Born Oct. 19, 1915, in South Mountain, Pa., he was the son of the late David and Urilla Rock Wagaman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen V. Miller Wagaman, in 2001. They were married Jan. 31, 1939. Prior to retiring in 1983, he worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa., in the maintenance department for more than 38 years.

Jack was born in Hagerstown, Md., March 6, 1932, the son of the late Ivan Kenneth Sr. and Carrie Ellen Stouffer Helman. Jack was employed as a truck driver with Thomas-Bennett & Hunter Concrete for 14 years and most recently with Supreme Concrete Products for over 20 years, both of Hagerstown. He attended Hagerstown Bible Church.

Roger Adam Ammons, 64 AUG. 21, 1944-NOV. 16, 2008 BOONSBORO - Roger Adam Ammons, age 64, of Boonsboro, Md., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at his home. Born Aug. 21, 1944, in Fairview, W.Va., to the late Ira Stanley and Sylvia Dell Brookeover Ammons. Roger was employed by Hobart Inc. in Williamsport, Md., until his retirement. Prior to Hobart, Roger had been employed for 21 years by Greyhound Foods at the General Motors Plant in Martinsburg, W.Va. Prior to that, he worked a number of years at Two Guys Dept.
