One of the service branches will be celebrating its 238th birthday  with the Marine Corps Ball on Friday, Nov. 15, at Hager Hall.

This is the second year that the ball with be open to the public. Tickets are $40 each. The price includes a social hour beginning at 5 p.m., a traditional birthday celebration at 6 p.m., buffet dinner at 7 p.m., followed by guest speaker Jim Warner at around 8 p.m.

Warner was a Marine combat pilot, who served in the Vietnam War. He was a prisoner of war for five years, at times sharing a cell with John McCain.

A live band will round out the evening. Attire is business casual accepted although formal is preferred. There will be silent auction items as well as an area for donations of Toys For Tots.

A photographer will be on hand for pictures. For more information or to reserve your tickets, please email Info@MCLAntietamDet.org or phone 240-818-8829
