Catholic schools provide a Christ-centered education that is academically excellent and empowers students to reach their full potential spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially and morally.

In recognition of the importance of a local Catholic education, the Knights of Columbus Pangborn Council 1365 in Hagerstown recently matched the $1,000 donations made by Knights of Columbus members Robert Rankin and the Rev. George Limmer.

The Pangborn Council donated $2,000, for a total of $4,000, toward tuition assistance to support St. Mary Catholic School students.

The presentation included John Danko, deputy grand knight; Grand Knight Cel Shannon; Limmer; St. Mary Catholic School Principal Patricia McDermott; and Rankin.
