'Animals at the Library' set in Williamsport

September 08, 2013

“Animals at the Library” will be the featured event for the Library for Home-schoolers program this month.

The program will be Friday, Sept. 13, at the Williamsport Memorial Branch Library, 104 E. Potomac St., Williamsport.

The Humane Society of Washington County will bring dogs and other animals, and talk about the care of pets and adopting an animal from the humane society.

Students also can bring in their pets to visit.  All dogs must be on leashes and all other animals must be in cages.

Two identical, back-to-back programs are held from 1 to 2 p.m., and from 2 to 3 p.m. Students may choose which session to attend.

Washington County Free Library hosts a series of free programs for homeschoolers titled “Fridays at the Library” that are held on the second Friday of each month during the school year.

No registration is required.
