Emily "June" Smith, 83, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 1, 1930, in Hancock, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles Alvey Myers and Amelia Zorich Myers Jolley.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She was a graduate of Hancock High School and also attended Hagerstown Junior College.
June had worked as a bookkeeper with Wright Motors, Wagner Chevrolet and H&R Block, all in Martinsburg.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post 60 in Berkeley Springs.
She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, crocheting, fishing, bowling and baseball.
June had been a homemaker in recent years.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harold McKinley Smith at home; one daughter, Karen Nadine Armbrester and her husband, Thomas, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one son, Harold Jeffrey Smith and his wife, Trudy, of Hedgesville; three grandchildren, Erin Rene Lantz and her husband, Rob, of Spotsylvania, Va., Ryan Wesley Armbrester of Hedgesville, and Ethan Bradley Smith and his wife, Samantha, of Norfolk, Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson Elijah Lantz, Connor Isaac Lantz and Greyson Levi Lantz, all of Spotsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin J. Smith.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs, with Pastor Darlene Powers officiating. Interment will be in Mount Nebo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
