Tri-State area police looking for man wanted in Md., Pa. and W.Va.

Tri-State area authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who has been charged in warrants with theft, distribution of heroin and other counts, according to the Hancock Police Department.

Michael John Burton, 37, whose last known address was Berkeley Springs, W.Va., is wanted in Maryland for theft under $10,000 and numerous traffic warrants, a Hancock police news release said.

Burton also is charged with distribution of heroin in Pennsylvania, and a parole violation in West Virginia for cutting off his monitoring bracelet and fleeing the state, police said.

He is believed to be hiding in the areas of Hancock, Warfordsburg, Pa., or Berkeley Springs, W.Va., the release said.
