On Aug. 10, 2013, Tom and Linda Perry of Williamsport celebrated their 50th anniversary at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Hagerstown, hosted by their two daughters, Katie Perry, and Heidi Gardner and husband Dave.

The joyous celebration featured a video of highlights of 50 years, and special music.

Maggie Rishell sang “People Will Say We’re in Love,” chosen from Tom and Linda’s first date when they saw the movie “Oklahoma.” Kathy Barr played Bach selections from “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” played at their wedding. A quartet from St. Mark’s Praise team sang one of the couple’s favorite songs, “You Raise Me Up.” More than 100 friends and family attended the celebration.

Pastor Tom and Linda were married Aug. 24, 1963, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church with Linda’s father, the Rev. Joseph T. Echols, now deceased, officiating.

The Perrys have two daughters, Katie Perry of Salisbury, Md., and Heidi Gardner (husband Dave Gardner) of Sterling, Va., and three grandsons, Markus Perry Scott, Samuel Thomas Gardner and Levi Henry Gardner.
