SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Kyle Ranson had two goals for Shepherd University in a season-opening loss to Seton Hill (1-0).

Fernand Feukeu and Kevin Doyle each had an assist and David Leonard had four saves for the Rams (0-1).

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Courtney Baltizar scored on an assist from Kelsey Fletcher to lead Shepherd University to a season-opening win over Davis & Elkins (0-1).

Elizabeth Wise had three saves in the shutout for the Rams (1-0).

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. — Drew Holderby had five aces and nine digs for St. Maria Goretti in a 22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-17 loss to Jefferson.

Abbey Eich had seven kills, three assists and two blocks and Liz Davis had seven kills and eight digs for the the Gaels (1-2).

Chestnut Ridge 3, Southern Fulton 0

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. — Celina Merchant had five kills, four blocks and 16 digs for Southern Fulton in a 25-11, 25-13, 25-21 loss to Chestnut Ridge in the Sideling Hill League.

Peyton Koons had six assists, seven service points and two aces and Macey Hollenshead had four kills for the Indians (1-1, 0-1).

Saint James 3, Fannett-Metal 0

FANNETTSBURG, Pa. — Kim Wooster had seven kills and McKenna Hough added five blocks for the Saints in a 25-18, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of Fannett-Metal on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Saint James (2-1) lost to St. John’s Catholic in four sets. No other information was provided.


GIRLS SOCCER

Chambersburg 3, Carlisle 2

CARLISLE, Pa. — Devin Furness scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Claire Jacobs in the 97th minute in double overtime to lead Chambersburg past Carlisle.

McKenna Peters had two goals, Ally Reinhardt and Noelle Jacobsen each had an assist and Shannon Edwards had 15 saves for the Trojans (3-1).

Harrison Barger had a goal and an assist for Grace in a recent win over Heritage.

Nate Brazil, Johnny York and Mark Koontz each had a goal for the Knights, while Matt Cole and Riley Showe each added an assist in the victory.
