Heritage tops Grace in five sets

Heritage Academy went five sets with Grace Academy in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference match, winning 25-18, 16-25, 25-21, 12-25, 15-8.

Chloe Prejean had 35 assists, 13 points, three aces and three blocks for Heritage (3-0, 2-0). Ashton Hinnant had 12 kills, Christi Jackson had 11 kills, Nicole Gaylor had 26 digs, Hannah Barnes had 12 points and Lizzy Kriner had 11 points and nine kills.

Valerie Cole had 29 assists and 13 digs, Allie Cox had 10 points and 13 digs, Heather Groves had 11 points and seven kills, Brooke Morgan had eight kills and Hannah Colvin has nine points, 13 kills and 10 digs for Grace.

New Life 3, Faith 1
FREDERICK, Md. — Laurie Hercules had five kills, two blocks and two aces for Faith Christian (0-2) in a 25-13, 21-25, 15-25, 19-25 loss to New Life Christian in an MDCC contest.

Shalom 3, CVCS 2
MARION, Pa. — Shalom Christian rallied for avictory over CVCS, 23-25, 12-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-11 for the Mason Dixon Conference win.

Tori Yoder had 10 kills, 12 digs and four aces for Shalom and Lexi Poe had eight kills, eight assists, 14 points and four aces for Shalom.
JV: Shalom 2-0.

Calvary 3, Broadfording 0
Broadfording Christian fell 25-13, 25-17, 25-7 to Calvary Christian in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference.
Sierra Hornick had three assists for the Lions (0-2).

Southern Fulton 3, Bishop Walsh 0
CUMBERLAND, Md. — Maggie Deneen had 18 service points and two aces to lead Southern Fulton to a season opening 25-7, 25-17, 25-18 sweep of Bishop Walsh.

Shaye Smartt had 10 service points and three digs, Macey Hollenshead had six kills and two blocks, Chelsey Sipes had five kills and Peyton Koons had six assists for the Indians (1-0).

BOYS SOCCER
Potomac School 1, Saint James 0
McLEAN, Va. — Potomac School scored in the 74th minute to stop Saint James in a Mid-Atlantic Conference contest.

Alex Wagner had 13 saves for the Saints (0-2, 0-1 MAC), who got off six shots on goal.

Broadfording 3, Calvary 2
Jaden Lee had two first-half goals and Steven Glaspell scored the winning goal late in the second half for Broadfording in a MDCC match.

Andrew Grimm added two assists for the Lions (1-1, 1-0).
Freshman Bret Fogle had 12 saves for Broadfording.

Grace 4, Heritage 1
Andy Joo scored on an assist by Luis Orjuela but Heritage Academy lost to Grace Academy (2-1) in the MDCC.

Abe Strickler had 13 saves for the Eagles (0-2).

GIRLS SOCCER
Chambersburg 1, Red Land 0
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Kat Lippincott scored the only goal of the match in the 46th minute off an assist from Ally Reinhardt to lead Chambersburg past Red Land.

Shannon Edwards made eight saves to record the shutout for the Trojans.
