Two armed men robbed the manager of the Denny’s restaurant on Dual Highway Tuesday morning as she was on her way to make a cash deposit at a nearby bank, Hagerstown police said.

Lt. Tom Langston said officers were still searching for the robbers as of Tuesday afternoon.

“The robbery did not occur in the store,” Langston said. “No one was injured.”

The robbery was reported at about 9:45 a.m. in the parking lot of the restaurant at 1630 Dual Highway, Langston said.

He said the manager was walking across the parking lot with an undisclosed amount of cash when two men with guns stopped her, took the money and a cellphone.

Langston said the men then fled on foot through the parking lot toward Edgewood Drive.

A Hagerstown Police Department K-9 unit was called to the scene, but the dog was unable to locate the robbers, Langston said.
