Funfest set for Sept. 14

Shiloh United Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Road in Hagerstown,  will hold a funfest Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will  be a full breakfast and lunch menu.

Local Christian bands will provide entertainment throughout the day.

The funfest also will feature an antique car show, including cruise-in; local vendors and craftsmen; churchwide yard sale; silent auction; flea market; horse-drawn wagon rides; children’s games and activities, including an inflatable bounce; and a children’s
karate demonstration.

In addition, there will be a cake walk, bake sale, and soup and sandwich sale.

Door prizes will be given away.

TOPS 0077

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0077 in Hagerstown reported a total loss of 35 1/4 pounds for the week.

The best TOPS losers were Louise Cline, Emma Jean Robertson and Linda Baker. The best KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) losers were Dorothy Smith and Louise Kline.

Nancy Itnyre won the ha-ha prize. The no-no snack for the week is ice cream.

The group meets Mondays at First Christian Church. Weigh-in is from 7 to 9:15 a.m. and the meeting is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Exercise classes

Zumba classes will be held at Pangborn Elementary School on Saturday mornings this fall. The classes are sponsored by the Washington County Recreation Department.

The classes will start
Saturday and continue through Dec. 7, from 8 to 8:45 a.m.

The classes cost $25 for county residents, $30 for nonresidents and $20 for those 55 and older.
