Naomi Marion Clingerman, 79, of Hancock, Md., died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at her home.

Born Sept. 3, 1933, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late George and Alma Pittman Coonrod.

She was the widow of Charles V. Clingerman, who died June 2, 2009. They were married Dec. 24, 1953.

She was a member of Hancock Assembly of God.

She had been employed by Pittman's Grocery in Hancock, and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed working in her gardens.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry L. Reynolds and Betty L. Seavolt, both of Hancock; seven sisters, Alma Younker of Hancock, Anna Eaton and Martha Wilhide, both of Hagerstown, Wilda Reed of Clear Spring, Violet Geist of Hancock, Lois Shives of Williamsport and JoAnn Blankley of Warfordsburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Singleton.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hancock Assembly of God, 431 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Hancock. The Rev. Don Preston will officiate. Burial will follow in Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Needmore, Pa.

The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock.
