Halfway Little League hosting bingo event

Halfway Little League has tickets available for its Coach and Cash Bingo set for Sunday, Sept. 29, at The Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84 in Williamsport.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and bingo begins at 1 p.m. 

Prizes will be Coach bags along with a cash prize.

Tickets cost $35 per person and include lunch, 20 games of regular bingo, five special games, and the chance to win a door prize. 

There also will be raffles, a 50-50, and plenty of tip jars including King Tuts.

Energy audits

St. Joseph’s Church, at 17630 Virginia Ave. in Hagerstown, is sponsoring free home energy audits at no cost.

A home energy consumption and efficiency review will be performed by energy professionals.

In addition to a no-cost energy audit, participants will receive free 12-14 watt CFL bulbs, 4-1.5-gallon per minute aerators, one hot water pipe insulator, and one surge protector with automatic on/off capability.

Home and outdoors 

The Lavish Living at Home and Outdoors show will be held at Valley Mall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Saturday Sept. 7

The event will feature entertainment and exhibitors to help create a dream lifestyle. Skweez Play will perform.

Displays of in-home and outdoor living features will be available. There will be a door prize drawing for a white water rafting trip for four and two nights lodging in a rustic cabin courtesy of River Expeditions.

The event is sponsored by L.T. Rush Stone, Wired Technologies, Mace Energy Supply Inc., Sounds So Good Car Audio, MTV Solar, Dan Ryan Builders and Stoneham’s.

Arts in the Park 

The Arts in the Park concert will feature American Music with Brian Keith and Kerch  Sunday at the bandshell in City Park.

The concert will begin at 1 p.m.

The concert is free and open to the public.

SHHS Class of 1958

The South Hagerstown High School Class of 1958 will hold its 55th reunion Saturday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Homewood Suites Hotel on Pullman Lane in Hagerstown.
