Malinda graduated from North Street School in 1936. She left the area after graduation, and worked in the health field as a nurse in New York City for many years. She worked in Harrisburg, Pa., prior to returning to her hometown.

She is survived by a son, Elliott Brown; and granddaughter, Kanesha Brown; and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Boscoe Clark; and two sisters, Mabel Boyd and Pearl Williams.

She was an avid Bible student, and contributed poems and words of wisdom to promote Christian living to all who would listen.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. at Greater Campher Temple, King's Apostle, 121 W. Bethel St., Hagerstown, Elder Darin Mency, pastor.
