Doris Elaine Munson, 81, peacefully passed into heaven on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at the home of her son, surrounded by her family.

Born May 23, 1932, in Boonsboro, Md., Doris was the daughter of the late Calvin L. and Edith E. Babington Moser. Her husband, Maurice E. Munson, died Sept. 27, 2002.

Doris was a member of Boonsboro Bible Church and the Sunshine Sunday School class.

She worked at Hanover Shoe, Ingalls Lumber, Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home and Servpro of Washington County.

Doris loved Jesus, her Lord and Savior, and enjoyed church and Sunday school. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She delighted in and loved her family immensely. She was an incredible model to her family and friends of unconditional love, faith and hard work. She will be missed by everyone, including her beloved dog, Zack.

She is survived by one son, Gregory L. Moser and wife, Debra K. Ballam Moser, of Hagerstown, Md.; sisters, Geraldine McAllister, Patricia Kline and husband, Meredith, Lorrena Wyand and husband, Chester, and Roxanne Stevens and husband, Harry; one brother, Leon Moser and wife, Mary; two granddaughters, Andrea Moser Atkinson and husband, Andy, and Brooke Moser; two grandsons, John Tyler and Kody Moser; three great-grandsons, Samuel, Logan and Drew Atkinson; sister- in-law, Carolyn Moser-Smith of Hagerstown; special friend, Jeff Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son, Darrell Moser; brother, Dennis Moser; sister, Irene Huffer; and brothers-in-law, Arthur Huffer and Allen McAllister.

A celebration of life service will be Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
