Ag meeting set for Oct. 25 in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Penn State Extension Office and Franklin County Conservation District will hold the third annual joint meeting Friday, Oct. 25, at Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4868 Wayne Road, Chambersburg. 

The featured speaker will be George Greig, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Greig will talk about the following topics: the future of agriculture in Pennsylvania (including issues most affecting Pennsylvania agriculture and how the department is addressing those issues); and agricultural trends in Pennsylvania.

Tickets cost $13 for adults, $5 for those ages 6 to 11 and are free for those younger than 6.

Dinner will be part of the program.

Tickets can be purchased at the Franklin County Penn State Extension Office, 181 Franklin Farm Lane, or the Franklin County Conservation District on Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg.
