RANSON, W.Va. — University Healthcare’s Jefferson Medical Center recently announced its Jewel Award winners for the second quarter of 2013. 

The Ruby Award was presented to Tonya Newlin, registration specialist.

The Ruby Award represents richness and warmth in the delivery of care. The recipient demonstrates a willingness to assist patients, staff and others with knowledge and experience. He or she is open to new ideas and ways of providing exceptional service.  

The Diamond Award was presented to Janice Earp, environmental assistant.

The Diamond Award represents the ability to withstand great pressure and temperature. The recipient displays many brilliant qualities and is appreciated for his or her fine characteristics.
