Mrs. Nancy V. (Wolf) Brandt, 70, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Rouzerville, Pa., and Brunswick, Md., died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown after an extended illness.

Born Oct. 13, 1942, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Kathryn (Sease) Wolf of Waynesboro, Pa., and the late Kenneth Wolf.

She attended Waynesboro High School until her senior year. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1960.

She and her husband of 50 years, Charles William Brandt, were married July 26, 1963, in Hagerstown. They moved to Fountainhead in Hagerstown in 1971. Before retiring, she worked as an executive secretary at Brandt Cabinet Works, and before that, at Potomac Edison.

She was a very loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother to her six grandchildren. She held many family picnics and events in her gardened yard, and enjoyed hosting large family functions during the holidays.   

In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by one sister, Barb Roulette of Hagerstown; one son Charles W. Brandt II and his wife, Tammy, of White Hall, Md., and their three children, Kailyn, Anna and Lauren;   and one daughter Nicole L. Charlton and her husband, Darnell, of Hagerstown, and their three children Sydney, Makehna and Carson. 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John David Roulette.

A memorial service will be Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with the Rev. Guy Baer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday two hours before the service at the funeral home.
