June Marie “June Bug” (Saville) Vance, 64, of Keedysville, Md., passed from this life to the next on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born April 29, 1949, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of Leona Saville of Keedysville and the late Hubert Oates Saville.

June was a 1967 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

She had formerly worked at London Fog in Boonsboro and Montgomery Ward in Hagerstown, and most recently was the owner and operator with her husband of the Deerview Home for the elderly in Keedysville.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Leon “Jimmy” Vance; her daughter, Christina Droppleman of Falling Waters, W.Va.; her sister, Adlehide Utz of Falling Waters; her brother, Steven Saville of Keedysville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral ceremony will be Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Joseph I. Donovan III will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.


The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
