1. Military chorus
The U.S. Navy Sea Chanters will perform choral selections, part of Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series. 6:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Hagerstown Community College’s Alumni Amphitheater, off Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. 2. Tomato tasting time
Master Gardeners of Franklin County’s Penn State Cooperative Extension will hold its annual Tomato Tasting Day. The public can taste several types of tomatoes and rate them. Also, largest tomato contest, salsa contest and ugliest tomato contest. Noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Horticultural Center, 181 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, Pa. Free. 3. Gospel concert
Gloryland Ramblers will perform at the final gospel concert of the summer season. 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Peter Buys Band Shell, City Park, off Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown. Call Jenny at 301-791-5464.

4. Arts festival
Destination Arts!, an ongoing, weekend arts festival, features art displays, live music and other arts activities. 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Downtown Waynesboro, Pa. Complete scheduled at www.artsalliancegw.org.

5. Corn maze opens
Hagerstown Corn Maze opens Saturday, Aug. 31, with three mazes to choose from. Guests may complete one, two or three mazes for one price. Celebration Farm, 17638 Garden View Road, Hagerstown. $6; $3, ages 5 to 12; free for children 4 and younger. Proceeds go to local faith-based nonprofits. Go to www.hagerstowncornmaze.org.
