Helen Mae Wiebel, 79, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, after a brief stay at Williamsport Retirement Village.

Born Sunday, Aug. 27, 1933, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Jeremiah Bryan Jr. and the late Mollie Marie (Smith) Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Wiebel, in 2007.

She attended Beaver Creek School and later graduated from Boonsboro High School. Helen was employed as a floral director with numerous florists in the local area. Helen’s true enjoyment was spending time with her husband, Russ, covering local high school sports on the radio, and attending all kinds of sporting events. She also enjoyed traveling with Russ and seeing many areas around the United States.

She is survived by her sons, David A. Green and friend, Barbie, and Robert L. Green and wife, Karen, all of Hagerstown; stepdaughters, Carol A. Moleskie and husband, Bernie, of Greencastle, Pa., and Nancy L. Shrader and husband, Michael, of Ephrata, Pa.; brothers, Donald L. Bryan Sr. and wife, Mary, of Boonsboro, Md., and Lewis J. Bryan III and wife, Hazel, of Hagerstown; granddaughter, Kaitlin M. Green of Hagerstown; grandson, Robert J. Green of Williamsport, Md.; granddaughter, Kallie A. Green of Williamsport; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family will receive friends at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be held privately with the family.

Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
