Dale Edward Taylor, 93, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Williamsport, Md., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at his home.

He was born June 12, 1920, in Williamsport to the late Roman Edward and Mary Naomi Salsgiver Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Emma French Taylor in 2001.

He was a 1938 graduate of Williamsport High School.

He was employed by Mack Trucks Inc. of Hagerstown until retiring in 1983.

He was a member of Maranatha Brethren Church, Hagerstown.

He was a member of Mediary Lodge No. 140 of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons Of Maryland, Williamsport and United Auto Workers Local No. 171 Hagerstown.

Survivors include: daughter, Cindy Helman, and her husband, Donald, of Cumberland; son, Terry Lee Taylor, and his wife, Nancy, of Williamsport; son, Allen Dale Taylor, and his wife, Irma, of Hagerstown; granddaughters, Jill Baker, Brenda Bond and Donnell Householder; grandsons, Jesse Taylor, Aaron Taylor and Andy Taylor; great-granddaughters, Haley Baker, Courtney Baker, Savannah Taylor, Bailey Taylor, Annabelle Taylor, Abigail Taylor and Bristol Taylor; great-grandson, Timothy Taylor; brother, Zane Taylor of Williamsport; and special companion, Joann Clark of Hagerstown.

He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after noon on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends. Masonic services will be held at 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jay M. Fretz officiating. Burial will be private.

The family requests the omission of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742
