One person seriously injured in Downsville Pike crash

One person was seriously injured Wednesday night after being thrown from a vehicle in a crash on Downsville Pike, according to a Washington County 911 supervisor.

Three people, including the seriously injured male, were taken to Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown after the vehicle struck a utility pole in the area of 9018 Downsville Pike, the supervisor said.

There was a power outage in the area as a result of the crash, which was reported at 10:09 p.m., the supervisor said.

Maryland State Police are investigating the crash.
