Wednesday's Jefferson County Fair schedule

Wednesday’s schedule for the Jefferson County Fair at the fairgrounds at 1707 Leetown Pike in Kearneysville, W.Va.

  • 8:30 a.m.: Fiber show
  • 10 a.m.: Dairy cattle judging — fitting and showing
  • 11 a.m.: Exhibit buildings open
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Senior citizens matinee — free admission for those 55 and older
  • Noon to 2 p.m.: Ruritan roast beef lunch special
  • 2 p.m.: Meat goat breeding classes
  • 6 p.m.: Carnival area open to public; family night (one price to ride all night)
  • 6:30 p.m.: Kiddie tractor pull in antique tractor area
  • 7 p.m.: Tuff truck and car contest in arena
  • 7:30 p.m.: Funny fitting and showing contest in show barn; performance by Cazhmiere on the stage
  • 7:45 p.m.: Texting contest in show barn
  • 8 p.m.: Corn-eating, ice cream-eating, milk-drinking and hay bale-tossing contests in show barn
  • 11 p.m.: Fairgrounds close
