A Washington County Sheriff’s Office bloodhound and her handler have located a missing 84-year-old woman who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, the sheriff’s said in a news release.

The sheriff’s office had asked for the public’s help earlier in the evening in finding Dora Johnson, who was last seen on Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m. in the Rosewood Commons Shopping Center near Rosewood Village just outside of Hagerstown, the release said.

Johnson was subsequently found in the construction area by the bloodhound named Bess and her handler, Deputy 1st Class Martin, at the west end of John F. Kennedy Drive, the release said. The shopping center is also located on that road.
