Shiloh Church to hold funfest

Shiloh United Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Road in Hagerstown, will hold a funfest Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be a full breakfast and lunch menu.

Local Christian bands will provide entertainment throughout the day.

The funfest will also feature an antique car show, including cruise-in; local vendors and craftsmen; churchwide yard sale; silent auction; flea market; horse-drawn wagon rides; children’s games and activities, including an inflatable bounce; and children’s karate demonstration.

In addition, there will be a cake walk, bake sale and soup and sandwich sale.

Door prizes will be given away.

Tickets available for annual Hangarfest

Tickets are available for the fourth annual Discovery Station Hangarfest planned for Saturday, Sept. 14, starting at 6 p.m. at Rider Jet Center at Hagerstown Regional Airport.

Tickets cost $20 and are available at Discovery Station by calling 301-790-0076 or Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 301-791-3246.

The event will feature the music of The Reagan Years, a 1980s tribute band.   Food vendors and a cash bar will be available.

Line dance lessons offered

The Country Western Dance Association will offer line dance lessons again this fall.

The first session will be Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on the corner of Virginia Avenue and Halfway Boulevard.

The classes are open to the public. Classes will last for eight weeks. The classes cost $5 for each class.
