Pa. State Police investigate burglary

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police were investigating a burglary earlier this month at Zero Ice at 42 Siloam Road.

The business was entered between Friday, Aug. 9, at 3 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 10, at 6 a.m., troopers said.

About $500 in cash was stolen, troopers said.

Tractor-trailer theft being investigated

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — The theft of a tractor-trailer from a truck stop Thursday was being investigated by Pennsylvania State Police.

A driver from Laurinburg, N.C., told troopers that a 2005 light blue Freightliner Classic XL tractor and a white 2004 Great Dane trailer were stolen from the parking lot of the T/A Truck Stop at 10835 John Wayne Drive between 6 and 7:15 p.m.

The tractor later was found in Maugansville by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, troopers said.

The trailer and its cargo still were missing as of Saturday afternoon, troopers said.

Motorcycle stolen from Hamilton Township

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police were investigating the theft of a motorcycle from a Hamilton Township home this week.

The 2007 Yamaha TW200 was taken from a front yard in the 100 block of Warm Spring Road, troopers said.

The motorcycle was stolen sometime between Wednesday and Saturday, troopers said.

  • At 12:58 a.m., a person fleeing and eluding police was reported at Forest and Jamison drives.
  • At 2:31 a.m., a warrant was served in the first block of East Baltimore Street.
  • At 7:41 a.m., a personal injury accident was reported at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Nottingham Drive.
  • At 9:05 a.m., a lost-and-found report was received in the 200 block of Summit Avenue.
  • At 10:54 a.m., a property damage accident was reported in the 100 block of South Potomac Street.
  • At 11:30 a.m., at theft was reported in the first block of North Cannon Avenue.
  • At 4:12 p.m., a vehicle theft was reported in the 100 block of North Mont Valla Drive.
  • At 4:17 p.m., a missing person was reported in the 500 block of Church Street.
  • At 6:23 p.m., a property damage accident was reported in the 300 block of East Washington Street.
  • At 7:53 p.m., a theft was reported in the 1100 block of Eastern Boulevard North.
  • At 8:07 p.m., a suspicious person was reported in the 1500 block of Wesel Boulevard.
  • At 8:13 p.m., a property damage accident was reported in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • At 9:26 p.m., a vehicle was towed from the intersection of West Franklin and North Walnut streets.
  • At 10:40 p.m., drug violations were reported in the first block of Summit Avenue.
  • At 11:35 p.m., drug violations were reported at the intersection of South Potomac and Sycamore streets.
