Farmers market 230th anniversary

Thunder on the Mountain

Civil War re-enactors portraying Union and Confederate infantry, cavalry and artillery units will re-create the fighting at Fox’s Gap during the 1862 Battle of South Mountain. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Open Airplane Afternoon

To coincide with National Aviation Day, Hagerstown Aviation Museum holds an open house. Visitors can climb aboard airplanes built in Hagerstown, including the Fairchild C-82 and Fairchild C-119 “Flying Boxcar,” and look at a 1928 Kreider Reisner KR-31 biplane. 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine.
