BOONSBORO — A Martinsburg, W.Va., man was flown to a Baltimore hospital and a 6-year-old boy was taken to Meritus Medical Center after an all-terrain vehicle accident Thursday in the 6400 block of Zittlestown Road near Boonsboro, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jeremy Ryan Gowers, 36, of Martinsburg, was discharged on Friday morning from R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The boy, whose name was not disclosed, was taken to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies said Gowers and the boy were filling deer feeders in a wooded area at about 2:45 p.m. when the ATV flipped over several times.
