Pa. man faces charges in alleged assault

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — A McConnellsburg man is facing charges after another McConnellsburg man was severely injured in an assault on Aug. 8 on Brick Road in Ayr Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Warren Lee Seville, 53, was charged with aggravated assault, according to a news release.

State police were told that Seville was trying to punch 76-year-old Albert James Sickles Jr. at about 8 p.m. on Aug. 8 in the 200 block of Brick Road, the release said.

Sickles was taken to Fulton County Medical Center and was later transported Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pa., the release said.

Sickles was eventually released from Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, and Seville was later released from the Franklin County Jail, a state police spokesman said Wednesday night.

  • At 3:03 p.m., disorderly conduct was reported in the 200 block of Merrbaugh Drive.
  • At 3:26 p.m., a theft from a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of North Potomac Street.
  • At 6:23 p.m., disorderly conduct was reported in the 1100 block of Salem Avenue.
  • At 6:28 p.m., fraud/bad check was reported in the 12800 block of Little Elliott Drive.
  • At 6:41 p.m., police assisted EMS in the 1600 block of Wesel Boulevard.
  • At 7:57 p.m. a theft was reported in the first block of North Cannon Avenue.
  • At 8:40 p.m., a property damage accident occurred in the 1700 block of Wesel Boulevard.
  • At 10:34 p.m., a missing person was reported in the 300 block of South Potomac Street.
  • At 10:34 p.m., a vehicle was towed in the 1500 block of Potomac Avenue.
  • At 10:46 p.m., an assault in progress was reported in the first block of Elizabeth Street.
  • At 11:23 p.m., a robbery in progress was reported in the 12800 block of Little Elliott Drive.

  • At 12:33 a.m., a property damage accident was reported in the 600 block of Potomac Avenue.
  • At 12:42 a.m., drug violations were reported in the 12800 block of Shank Farm Way.
  • At 1:10 a.m., warrant service was conducted in the 700 block of Potomac Avenue.
  • At 8:23 a.m., a burglary was reported in the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue.
  • At 9:05 a.m., counterfeiting was reported in the 300 block of McDowell Avenue.
  • At 10:07 a.m., a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Randolph Avenue.
  • At 10:15 a.m., drug violations were reported in the 10200 block of Governor Lane Boulevard.
  • At 10:19 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 900 block of Lanvale Street.
  • At 12:25 p.m., a robbery in progress was reported in the 100 block of West Washington Street.
  • At 12:35 p.m., a property damage accident occurred in the 100 block of Winter Street.
