MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Martinsburg police on Friday released an image of a individual who is believed to be a suspect in the Aug. 2 robbery of the Pizza Hut in Old Courthouse Square shopping plaza.

The white male suspect, described as 6 feet 3 inches tall and in his late 30s, took about $223 from the restaurant after demanding money and telling a clerk he had a pistol, city police said.

The suspect entered the Pizza Hut just before 11 p.m. and left the business on foot, police said.

He was wearing a red baseball cap and had a scruffy beard, police said.

The image was taken from surveillance footage at the Food Lion in the shopping plaza that was recorded just before the robbery, police said.

Anyone with information about the identity of the person can contact the Martinsburg Police Department at 304-264-2100 or Berkeley County Crime Solvers at 304-267-4999.
