August 08, 2013

UNION BRIDGE, Md. — Part of Md. 75 south of Clemsonville Road was closed for about seven hours after a tractor-trailer overturned on the road Thursday morning, according to Maryland State Police.

Gregory Johnson of Mineral, Va., was driving through a turn when his rig overturned, said Sgt. Brian Smith, a police spokesman.

Johnson was taken to Carroll Hospital Center after the crash, which was reported about 9:20 a.m.

Authorities were able to open one lane of Md. 75 but the other lane had to be closed until about 4:30 p.m. so crews could clean up the wreckage, Smith said.
