Marie Virginia (Wagaman) Beachley, 94, went to her eternal rest Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Williamsport Retirement Village.

Born June 25, 1919, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Clayton and Margaret Virginia Wagaman.

Her husband of 62 years, Austin A. Beachley, preceded her in death in 2005.

Marie was employed as a seamstress at various places in the Hagerstown area, including L'Aiglon, the Dorby Dress Manufacturing Co. and the Waynesboro Knitting Mill.

She was a member of the Willow Brook Seventh-day Adventist Church in Boonsboro and the Cumberland Valley Retirement Association.

Marie will be fondly remembered for her love of sewing, crochet and needlework.

She is survived by three sons, Carroll L. Beachley of Hagerstown, Cecil A. Beachley and wife, Bonnie, of Greencastle, Pa., and Ronald G. Beachley of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandsons.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Conard C. Beachley; and two brothers, Clarence and Marlin Wagaman.

A funeral ceremony will be Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Elder Timothy Crosby will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
