Applebee's holding annual general manager's conference in Hagerstown

August 06, 2013

Apple Investors Group LLC has chosen to hold its annual Applebee’s general manager training conference at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Hagerstown.

Approximately 70 conferees will be at the hotel through Thursday for three days of training sessions, organizational meetings and sightseeing opportunities.

According to Apple Investors Group Benefits Coordinator Dhimant Patel, Hagerstown provided an excellent location for the meeting of managers from its properties in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee and Virginia.

“As often happens in the hospitality industry, we are coming to the Clarion due to contact our owner, Anand Patel, has with Clarion’s John Patel. The Clarion worked out a package for our group that includes wonderful meeting facilities, top-notch guest services, nearby nationally known attractions for a day trip, and all at a reasonable rate. It is entirely possible that Hagerstown could become our ‘go-to’ annual destination,” Dhimant Patel said.

Most members of the group arrived Sunday evening and are staying through Thursday morning. The agenda included meeting sessions Monday, a bus trip to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore today, and another full day of meetings Wednesday. An awards banquet Wednesday night will close out the conference.
