Cashier pushed during attempted robbery at Hagerstown KFC

A male suspect jumped over a counter at the KFC restaurant at 330 Dual Highway in Hagerstown Tuesday night and pushed a cashier in an attempted robbery, according to the city police.

After pushing the cashier, the male attempted to open a cash register but was unsuccessful, said Sgt. Mark Renner of the Hagerstown Police Department.

The male then fled the restaurant on foot, Renner said.

The incident was reported to police about 10 p.m.

The suspect was described as being a tall black male, wearing a fishing cap, a plaid shirt and camouflage-style shorts, Renner said.
