Sample of mosquitoes from Franklin County test positive for West Nile virus

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A second sample of mosquitoes from Franklin County, Pa., has tested positive for West Nile virus this year.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection announced Thursday a sample from the Borough of Chambersburg tested positive.

The DEP’s website indicates it is the second positive sample out of 611 collected in the county this year.
