Corey Adam Clopein, 25, of 15807 Shinham Road in Hagerstown, Md., passed away suddenly Thursday, July 25, 2013.

He was born Jan. 4, 1988, to Teresa Lynn Zukowski of Hagerstown and James Anthony Clopein of Hagerstown. He also is survived by his stepmother, Beth Snider Clopein of Hagerstown.

Corey was a 2006 graduate of Clear Spring High School and was a self-employed free-lance photographer. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed art, painting, photography, playing cards and riding motorcycles.

He served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany, where he worked as a jet engine mechanic.

In addition to his parents and stepmother, he is survived by his maternal stepgrandparents, Carol and Don Snider of Martinsburg, W.Va.; sisters, Dana Megan Clopein of Hagerstown, and Jennifer Morris and husband, Brian, of Eldersburg, Md.; brothers, Jeston Alexander Clopein Sr. and wife, Megan, of Hagerstown, and James Anthony Clopein and wife, Rhetta, of Eldersburg; nieces, Amanda and Christina; nephews, Jeston Jr., Joey, Brian and Jimmy; and an uncle, Donald Snider of Littlestown, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Faye Rebecca "Lefler" Zukowski and Frank John Zukowski; his paternal grandparents, Irene and Wilbur Clopein; aunt, Pat Pat; and aunt, Becky.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 30, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home Tuesday after noon.

Please dress casual and wear red in honor of Corey.

Private burial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
