Gerald Reichard "Jerry" Taylor Jr., 56, of Clear Spring, Md., died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the Philadelphia Cancer Treatment Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

Born Dec. 28, 1956, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Gerald R. Taylor Sr. and Francis Huyett Taylor.

He was employed by Callas Contractors as a superintendent

He was a member of Izaak Walton League of America, Maryland Division.

He loved riding his Harley, shooting his guns at Izaak Walton, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Taylor; two daughters, Misty C. Taylor and fiancé, Boomer Ruth, and Jade Wilson, both of Clear Spring; two sons, Jesse Taylor and Joshua Wilson, both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Debra Rash of Colorado and Ruth Lushbaugh of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Andrew Taylor, Timothy Taylor, James Edward "Mac" Ruth IV and Joslyne Renee "Trisha" Ruth; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Trisha Ann Taylor.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 29, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Samuel Fendley will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
