Inwood branch of Susquehanna Bank robbed

INWOOD, W.Va. — The Inwood, W.Va., branch of Susquehanna Bank was robbed Friday morning.

Deputies responded to the bank at 5091 Gerrardstown Road at about 10:30 a.m., the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said.

A man approached a teller in the bank and demanded money. The teller complied, and the robber took an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank, the sheriff’s office said.

Witnesses told deputies that the robber fled west toward Interstate 81 in a white four-door sedan with Kentucky registration.

The robber was described as a white male in his late 40s, between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 220 and 250 pounds, with a pot belly, a sheriff’s office news release said.
