Carl William Iman Sr., 79, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his home.

He was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Petersburg, and was a son of the late Charles Seymour Iman and Ola Dorcas (Whetzel) Iman.

Iman retired from CSX Railroad in Hagerstown, Md. He served in the U.S. Army with the 187th Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Kline) Iman; two daughters, Carolyn Widmyer and husband, Jim, of Hagerstown, and Carla Iman of Petersburg; one stepdaughter, Shawn Kline of Hagerstown; two sons, Carl W. "Bill" Iman Jr. and wife, Judy, of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Daniel "Danny" Westfall and wife, Anita, of Harrisonburg, Va.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and one brother, Curtis Iman of Petersburg.

Graveside services will be Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 1 p.m. at North Mill Creek Cemetery, 1327 North Mill Creek Road, Petersburg WV 26847, with Pastor Larry M. Cantu officiating. Burial will follow in North Mill Creek Cemetery.
