Eleanor L. "Ellie" Hutson, 86, of Boonsboro, and formerly of Sharpsburg and Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Md.

Born April 7, 1927, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Mary Wolfe Myers Griffith.

Her husband of 53 years, James Luther Hutson Sr., preceded her in death in 1998.

Ellie attended Shepherdstown High School

She retired from Victor Products in 1985, and most recently worked for Direct Mail Processing in Hagerstown.

She was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church, secretary for the union of Victor Products for 16 years, a member of Red Feather Degree of Pocahontas Council 59 in Williamsport and a past Great Pocahontas for the state of Maryland.

Ellie is survived by a daughter, Linda L. Faith and her husband, Chuck, and a son, James L. Hutson Jr. and his wife, Debbie, all of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Lori L. Willett of Williamsport, and Lisa M. McClure and Charles W. "Tray" Faith III, both of Clear Spring; great-grandchildren, E.J. Willett, Amanda Hovis, Cory McClure, Charles W. "Will" Faith IV, Abby Faith and Sophia Faith; great-great-grandchildren, Kolton and Kamden Hovis; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Frye, Alice Shackelford and Margaret Thacker.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will be open today after 1 p.m.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Boehl officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
