MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Police seized more than 9 grams of cocaine in a traffic stop in Martinsburg Saturday and charged a man and a woman riding in the vehicle with drug-related offenses, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.

Anna Jo Hughes, 35, of 262 Lariat Drive, Kearneysville, W.Va., and Steven Lewis Twigg, 26, of no fixed address, were each arraigned Sunday on single counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy.

Martinsburg Police Department Patrol Officer S.A. Shelton said in a complaint filed in magistrate court that he made the arrests Saturday after a short vehicle pursuit from the intersection of Race and Queen Street to Stephen Street.

Shelton said the crack cocaine weighed 9.2 grams.
